100 Metres Dash

Barney was the 100 Metres Champion when he was in school. Which wasn't  today or yesterday. It wasn't called  the 100 metres then, it was called the 100 yards. No one could touch him over this distance. His mother said that he should have been on the Irish Olympic Team. This new task brought him back all those years. He had to travel 100 metres from the pub and not take a sip out of either of the two delicious pints of Guinness that he had purchased. 

He started off quite briskly but started to fade just as he was nearing the 80 metre mark. Still he struggled on and made it as far as 87 metres when he took his first sup. He tried to do it surreptitiously but was caught by the roadside cctv. Anyway justice was done and Barney is barred from getting any more away pints for 14 days (weekend included).
