Nesting

There is a sheltered bay at the back of our cottage and this fish has been nesting along the shoreline since before I arrived here more than a week ago.   It is constantly guarding the nest from predators and you can see it swimming within a very small area around the nest at any time.    We're not  positive,  but think it is a smallmouth bass.
