Cubist Poppies #2

OK - might not be to everyone's taste but researching Cubism and Photography.....

Going right back to beginnings where Picasso and Braque rebelled at the "lie" of perspective in paintings. We all understand that when we draw the top of a bottle we draw an oval to represent the circular top as seen from our view point. The manipulations of the cubists viewed images from multiple perspectives and combined them in a 2 dimensional image, but didn't bother with any of the  complex perspectives, vanishing points etc. recognising that they were not trying to kid the eye with any 3 dimensionality.

Initially the analytical cubism really concentrated on shapes, but later added colours and other manipulations - becoming more and more abstract..
