Are you still following us?

Walking across the sandy path through the fields this evening I followed a pair of Pied Wagtails, they are such comical birds, criss crossing the path and leaving their little footmarks for me to follow. They would stop periodically and look at me as if to ask 'Are you still following us?' Then they'd fly down the path a little further and resume their activities.
