First Produce - Spring Cabbage

How beautiful are these inner leaves? Was going to chuck these first cabbage leaves of the year into tonight's risotto but decided they needed to be eaten alone, to fully appreciate them, so they have been left for tomorrow.

Also the outsides were rather non-decript ugly, nothing remarkable (other than they existed and we'd grown them) but how pretty are these leaves snapped here.
