Shaggy and sharp.
Monday's garden has a lot of box hedging and it's also a frost pocket which means the hedging often has brown frosted growth and doesn't start producing new until quite late. This year there is a benefit to that, it's currently free of box tree moth caterpillar.
Today I started clipping the hedging. With my new hedge trimmer it has speeded up the process which was my intention and means happy customers too.
I don't usually work on bank holidays but that does mean they miss a number of work days so today was one I made up. I also did the call which was cancelled last Friday so didn't get home till about 7.30pm but it was still warm and sunny, so called for a cold beer and time to sit and enjoy my own little space.
