Founding flavors
Tonight we visited a fairly new ice cream shop which has a Revolution-era theme. The workers dress in period costumes. The flavors are named for founding fathers (and mothers), like George Washington's Indispensable Flavor (chocolate and peanut butter), John Hancock's Signature Mint Chocolate Truffle (mint ice cream with dark chocolate truffle chunks), and Schuyler Sisters' Kiss (milk chocolate hazelnut). It was yummy!
And it was Memorial Day today, so I guess this place was appropriate in thinking of those service men and women who did not come home.
