Happy Birthday to Mel

Mel's birthday today, so she got a paddle in the sea on one of her favourite walks (though it's a lot busier these days!), and heading home I nabbed some gin and a rather fantastic vermouth from the Isle of Harris distillery (and a couple of tumblers for me, my Old Fashioneds are going to love them) for some impromptu martinis. And no, the cottage doesn’t have martini glasses, but it didn’t have a mixing glass or strainer either.... Mel liked it dirty (ahem) while I’m more traditional.
