On the first day of winter...

....my feeder sent to me......a peanut fat-slab!

Well, it seems the berry flavoured ones were pretty popular so I thought I'd give them a change of taste.  It seems peanut flavour is popular too.

Whilst we enjoyed some lovely sunshine today parts of the Canterbury region, particularly around Ashburton area, received almost triple their typical monthly rainfall over the weekend and today we heard that a major bridge was showing signs of slumping under the pressure of the enormous volume of water passing under it.  They were officially still in a drought until these rains arrived - now they're flooded.  My heart goes out to everyone down there - stay safe.
