Young crow.
The photo above wasn’t taken today, was taken yesterday.
We were at caravan and we’d had a long walk, though not too long, Darren is conscious of the hot weather and how it affects me, plus Darren doesn’t like to be constantly in the sunshine, he prefers the shade.
Anyway I was on the bed and Darren was sat at front of caravan with the open window providing a nice cool breeze. He was looking at the greenery, which surrounds the caravan on 3 sides and he noticed this young crow walking about, sometimes on show, sometimes hidden. At one point the young crow sat in the sunshine for about 10 minutes and while Darren could see it there were a few weeds blocking a good photo opportunity.
No parents were seen at this point and it was also quite obvious the young crow couldn’t fly. Darren got his camera, changed the lens to a longer zoom and set about trying to capture the young crow from the comfort of his caravan. While sat in the sun the young crow called to it’s parents a couple of times and eventually Darren spotted one of the parents on some near by branch, the youngster at this point had moved further in to the weeds, the parent flew down to the area the young crow was and then a few seconds later flew off, though a few minutes later it reappeared. All this had Darren transfixed, he loves watching nature and finds it’s one of the best ways to forget about any worries or concerns he may have on his mind.
Anyway this is for “ crazy crow lady” who loves crows.
