And little wonder! Still frickin' Arctic conditions despite the welcome blue skies and sun.

Another day spent dodging most of the bullets. Was meant to be meeting a friend for a drink but he is poorly so an unscheduled night in. Not so bad really. About to settle down to watch the BBC2 programme on Syria from last night. I spent a fantastic 10 days travelling around the country at the end of 2007 - the most fabulous sights and people - and it breaks my heart to see what is happening to it.
