I had an appointment in Stirling this morning and a couple of Zoom meetings at home in the afternoon, but I reckoned I could manage a visit to the Castle in-between.

It was my visit to Linlithgow Palace at the weekend that set off this train of thought, so I went online on Sunday afternoon and got my (Historic Scotland member's) ticket for this morning.

Like the Palace, the Castle is a place I enjoy visiting and had missed during the months of lockdown. It was a most enjoyable meander and all very impressively managed in terms of one-way systems, etc. Now wondering where to visit next!
