Pond Dipping
Had a pond dipping morning with a little friend today, she managed to observe plenty of crawlies among the moss we pulled out, we also found a dead frog that looked like it had been attacked by a bird and our most interesting find was a skeleton of (I think) a newt.
I went back down for an hour or so this afternoon to get some pictures but still not a lot of insects about on the flowers, but plenty of pond skaters. See extra
By this afternoon the newt skeleton had dried out, so managed to blip it. Was going to bring it in the house and put it with treasures I keep for the grandchildren, but must have knocked it off the garden seat and it was impossible to find in the grass.
