First day of summer

It's been a rare event this year that I managed an early walk, out on the meadow by 7.30am, blazing sun, skylarks above. It was lovely! The meadow was awash with buttercups and when I was half way round I spotted the ox eye daisies, one of my top favourite wildflowers so obviously I had to get in there. Great start to any day.
