Allermuir

I walked up Allermuir this evening to play with radios - you can see my portable mast and base camp (!) on the right of the picture.

I made 6 contacts, all in Scotland, in the last 20 minutes of the 2m FM contest, 17 contacts in the 2m all modes contest later on (all on SSB, mostly Scotland but one in England), and a couple of HF contacts (France, Italy) for SOTA.  

It was a lovely sunny walk up, and stayed nice on the summit but as the sun started to set I could watch the Forth Valley filling up with Haar before my very eyes.  Even in the main photo it's beginning to pour around Arthur's Seat, in the later extras the whole valley has filled up as far as the eye can see.

Not a bad way to spend the evening.
