Inside ice

Ever looked inside ice? Really looked?
The ice on the farm's drinking troughs was nearly 2 inches thick, and didn't melt even if a chunk was left in the sunshine. This was thinner ice from a hen's drinking dish, and was struck by the fantastic inner patterns and bubbles shot though the ice. A beautiful end to my stay with my 'family' at the farm.
