Air bee n bee!

Inspired by a visit to an apiary during a trip to Bulgaria a few years ago, my husband and I went on a beekeeping course. It was very interesting but having our own hive would apparently completely take over our lives so we never did get one - much easier to just put in some bee-friendly plants!

I did buy some ‘bee hotels’, though, and put them up on the shed but I’d never seen a bee near them until today.

It looks like they have been in residence for a while and I lost count of how many were going in and out - a real ‘hive of activity’!
