And Suck!

On Thursday the contracting company responsible for laying the new gas supply pipes in the street went bust and insisted all the newly dug holes were filled in for safety reasons.
Fortunately a new company took over and employed the staff who proceeded to open of many of the holes to continue the pipe connections after the holiday weekend.
I had a chat to one of the team as they were removing soil from a new hole
. All highly technical, the machine is an enormous vacuum device that sucks the soil up into the truck, it did in 5 minutes what would take a man 1/2 a day of toil.
The chap on the right controls the pipe with a natty remote control, his colleague directs matters round the tricky pipes, ( he said his mate thinks its Christmas with the remote control, it's like an x box!  )
