The butterflies were out in force this afternoon.

I had a quick walk along one of the dune paths near home and spotted lots of different butterflies for the first time this year.  A pair of Tortoiseshells were busy dancing in the air together, a pair of Peacocks flew up from the path right in front of me but I initially settled for a slightly battered small white which was kind enough to pose, but later I spotted my favourite - a Common Blue fluttering about. It finally settled and allowed a little photo session and even opened it wings for a while - see extra.
