Hotel California

Honestly I am not obsessed with finding rusty relics......but I found this in the grounds of our hotel today! An old bench saw that has seen better days.

We are staying at Moggerhanger Park Hotel near Sandy...we are the only guests in the place which has also seen better days! We haven’t laughed so much in ages...from the ghostly receptionist who seems to be everywhere at once.. windows and doors that creak and bang, floorboards that squeak. We fully expect Lurch or Thing to appear around every corner. Let’s just say that the website photos have been very carefully selected and airbrushed. Let’s hope we can leave when we check out...

Has been a long day..we collected our son from South Leeds, then daughter and granddaughters from Doncaster and set off. We stopped for coffee / snacks at Markham and the met Mrs madwill’s sister and Mother at the Hotel Chocolate factory outlet. Added an extra of eldest granddaughter with her chocolate lolly!

Had our evening meal in a pub in Moggerhanger, as the hotel is not serving meals and has no bar open. Now we are trying to get two very excited children to sleep...it is way too hot! 

Virtual walk update… I haven’t abandoned this walk, but it has been a poor month mileage wise, mainly due to a foot injury and the appalling weather. Childcare days haven’t helped either. I have now completed 550 miles - but only managed just over 60 miles in May!
