Mum

I was finally able to visit my mum.
Last year, after a lot of ill health, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and is now in a care home. Finding a home for her in lockdown without any of us being allowed to check them out first was one of the most difficult things of last year.
Apart from two short window visits last June (when mum was so very confused and distressed) I’ve not seen her properly since February last year.
Today I was able to visit her. What a joy!
She was in good form and we enjoyed an hour outside in the garden.
It was a sun trap and very hot!
Dad is allowed an extra visit this week as it’s their 59th wedding anniversary on Friday.
