Fairy Pools

It was the great outdoors again today in Skye, first at the beach with Mrs C going for a swim again and Arlo playing fetch the frisbee. The enthusiasm for retrieving things from water, whether it is what you've thrown or not seems neverending.

Mid afternoon we headed west to the Fairy Pools and the single track road there was hoaching. The walk is initially downhill then up, alongside the river and the ravines and amazing rock shapes as the water has eroded softer rock. It was hot and has been dry, it must be something else in wet weather and much more stunning. Of course we stopped for a while to throw rocks in the water for Arlo to retrieve.

Despite the area being, hoaching,  the Old Inn at Carbost had an outside table for us for dinner looking over the sea loch. It's become a bit of a tradition to eat there when we are in in Skye.
