Drum Castle
There actually is not very much castle here, it is more a stately home. There is a tower at one end to provide some justification for calling this a caste.
The front of the building is quite attractive however this side of the building may have been designed when the architect was having an off day. The original tower dates from the 13th century, much of the rest of the building from the early 17th century.
Not many people here when I first arrived, however with the warm summer day there was a steady stream of people arriving, even though the property and cafe is closed today.
