Broken Promises

Yesterday and today we got lots of weather warnings. They all promised thunderstorms, heavy rain and even possible flooding. 

Here's what we got: A muggy day at up to  28°C and towering clouds. There were only a few drops of rain at lunchtime, and the world feels like a giant sauna ever since.

Today was Corpus Christi, a public holiday in our part of Germany. I still worked for a few hours in the morning and later pottered around in the garden for a while, but didn't go for a walk because of said weather warnings. 
I wish I had ignored them and gone out anyway.
