Screwed.

This is a book that is set in my workplace, although the author has given himself, the characters and the prison different names (for obvious reasons!). It is meant to be an accurate glimpse of what it's like to do this job, but, he does exaggerate quite a bit! Artistic licence I suppose...

Still, if you look past all the excessive swearing and the egotistical protaganist giving it the big "I am" , you might get a glimpse of what we really do and some of the weird and wonderful characters we come across in the job. Sometimes it's the best job in the world & I have had some of the best laughs working there - with both prisoners and staff alike!
This was written about 15-16 years ago now and some things have changed a bit since then. Although, some of the characters are still working there and it's amusing picking them out :-D
