Dinner in times of Covid.
We've had drinks, and snacky type meals, but this is our first dinner out since last year, when we had a meal out after a concert on the 9th December, and it felt as though some degree of normality was returning. How wrong we were - less than 4 weeks later we were back in lockdown!
We woke to continuing rain this morning. We had intended a walk on the coast, but this is our holiday, we weren't up for walking in the rain. Instead, we had a gentle morning - poached eggs for breakfast - and eventually it started to improve about 2ish. We visited the local farm shop, where they sell their own cheeses, and a few craft items, and followed that with a trip to the local gin distillery to top up our supplies. Then a short visit to the supermarket for a few items. By this time, the sun was poking its head from behind the clouds, it was too early for our dinner booking, so we stopped off at Kilsture Woods again and I had a short meander.
We had booked an early dinner at a restaurant in the village, and very nice it was, too.
We were back in our accommodation in plenty of time to watch Springwatch, and it looks as though tomorrow, our last day, is shaping up to be good weather, so we're planning a trip to Galloway Forest Park.
