Latest Light
Had to record this. It is well after 9 pm and normally the sunlight has left the garden because it faces north east and the sun has set behind the neighbours’ houses. I’d noticed that the sun was still shining on one of the trees and thought it was still high enough to shine over the roofs. So I was quite surprised to be ‘blasted’ by sunlight while standing in the garden. Turning towards the sun found that the sun was shining between two houses, something that would only happen during this period of the year.
It was a working day and included a visit to meet the organisers of a music event due to take place just 4 days after 21st June, when we could be moving in to Step 4 of the road map, or not if the tests for progression are not met. I left the meeting with a great deal of scepticism that they were ready and organised to host the event. We’ve given them a week in which to supply comprehensive information on how they will safeguard people that are due to attend. Failure to do so jeopardises the event going ahead.
