Flower meadow

A busy and exciting long Bank Holiday weekend came to an end today and I returned to work.

Amongst things, we’ve visited a fellow massage student in her wonderful home which was originally a farm house but for a time, a sports and social club for ICI (the chemical company). In doing so we discovered Andy probably drank and socialised in that very building many years ago as a young hockey player.

We’ve also had our first family visitors in 18 months, with my sister and family staying over for a few days. We had much to catch-up on and share, including rhubarb root from the allotment, homemade chutney and jam, as well as cacti for my niece and nephew who collect these prickly plants! It also did Merlin good to see some different people and to be chased around the garden by young energetic souls - he was shattered by the time they left.

After work I joined Andy and Merlin for a walk. The buttercups and clover are in full bloom and the oxeye daisies almost ready to spread their petals. Yoga and tai chi have also been practiced. I now feel ready for bed. Hope this finds you well.
