Chateau de Vullierens, Morges

The gardens at the beautiful Chateau de Vullieron are full of irises at the moment, a wonderful experience for the senses. What an amazing variety of colours!

I went with Alijay and we spent a wonderful afternoon there, starting off with a late lunch in the cafe. The garden themselves, as well as being filled with irises, have many sculptures, including a very unusual bed and full size animals as well as an enchanting fairy wood. (See extras) The views from the chateau were fabulous across to the mountains. A great find and I am sure I will return.
