Deserted Distress-Way

I once had a boss who always called this road the "Aston Distress-Way" always ignoring its correct name "expressway" his humorous jibe has long stuck in my mind...

Well tonight I found it at peace, at last no cars or traffic and fully closed to all but the workman tending to its tortured surfaces... A mono-cultural moment for postpeakcartastic thoughts to grow!

Was in Birmingham this evening seeing the wonderful Scottish folk singer Roddy Woomble. It was a most enjoyable evening of beautiful music. Him and his band have an outstanding performance!
