I don’t know what it is........

....but I want one.

This morning we took the chair that the removers damaged for an estimate from someone who had been recommended to us.  It was interesting to see inside his workshop; he restores antique furniture and just two small desks that he showed us were worth £25,000 each and there were several other similar items that he was working on.  He said that he works on recommendations and doesn’t have any signage on his workshop due to the value of the items in there, so for obvious reasons I won’t be adding a location to this blip!  Nice as our chair is, it isn’t in the same league as the other things he was working on but he was happy to give us a quote.  This car was parked outside an adjoining workshop; I’d love to have a drive!

After all that we spent a very enjoyable afternoon sitting in a friend’s conservatory drinking tea and coffee, eating cake and before all that, quaffing a couple of glasses of champagne.  A rather good day.
