New Street Art

New arty banners have appeared on the lamp posts in Street High Street overnight. There are 3 different designs, done in an Art Deco style, advertising different reasons to visit the village.

I can see this one causing a bit of controversy as the outdoor swimming pool which features here is closed for the second consecutive summer due to COVID, when many of the locals felt it could have been opened safely this year at least with some restrictions. Presumably this was produced before the decision to keep the pool closed was made. Certainly a lot of visitors are going to be disappointed to find the pool is shut again.

I took this on my walk over to our friends Tony & Rosie’s house this morning for coffee and a chat. Tess & Rosie had been for an early morning Keep Fit session and joined us when they got back. We found plenty to chat about as always and it was early afternoon before we got home.
