Thyme to Fly

Unlike Cabbagetree, I don't know anything about flies so I can't name this guy.

I suggested to Kiwilizzie that we head out to the Red Barn after work. Sometimes it's nice to just sit and have a good coffee at the end of the day.

There were bees on the thyme in their herb garden but while I changed my lens they left and the wasps and flies came. The wasps just wouldn't stay still for me today so the flies had to become my targets.

I photographed three different ones but this one, which was the smallest at about 8mm long, is the ugliest so I thought he should have blip honours.
