Every silver lining has a cloud

A few months ago I ventured into the local garden centre to buy a bag of compost plus a pack of lilies suitable for containers. Wearing the obligatory mask, the inevitable happened when my specs steamed up. Finding the compost was easy, but more difficult with the choice of Lilies, but I could  just read the large print indicating suitability for my purpose. The following day I intended to plant them and found the entire contents of the pack were dead. Luckily the garden centre replaced the pack and the first flower has appeared at ground level! Not what I was hoping for, but silly enough for today's blip.
