Argus

A nice surprise near the end of my walk, at Trench Meadows SSSI,  a male Brown Argus butterfly. Records for these are very thin on the ground locally so it was good to put another dot on the map.

Otherwise, butterflies were very thin on the ground, just a couple of Speckled Wood, Orange-tip and a few whites.
