Lessons learnt today:

- none of the walls in my house are straight

- "Paste the wall" wallpaper is not as good an idea as it sounds

- there is a very good reason for us usually getting a professional in to decorate

That said, after hours of swearing and sweating, it actually looks quite nice. So congratulated self with a bite to eat and a trip to the cinema with the Mr
