First glimpse...

of our home for the next two weeks.

Journey to Kildary was great.  Trouble free, lots of chat, listening to music and admiring the scenery.  We were here in jig time.

We are staying in the Barn that's attached to the Old Manse (photo in extras)

The Old Manse is a beautiful B&B and Neale and Linda who run it (and own The Barn) are lovely.  The Barn is absolutely beautiful inside.  We will be very comfortable here.  There was a fabulous welcome package waiting for us that included fresh farm eggs, smoked salmon, fresh bread, butter, chocolate and shortbread.  Guess what we're having for breakfast :-))

The two acre woodland garden is beautiful and after unpacking the main essentials we poured a G&T and sat and enjoyed the view from our little part of the garden, looking west to where the sun sets.  There are bird feeders in the trees just outside the lounge window and so far we've seen blackbirds, chaffinches, sparrows, a robin and a wood pigeon.  We also had a little rabbit sunning itself on the grass by the door (see extra :-)

No particular plans for tomorrow. First day of a holiday is usually a chill out day with some local exploration and planning for the start of the week.
