Blip down. Slow down.

We are all connected until we are disconnected! Blipfoto site is the gosssmer that unites us in our photographic collectivity. When it goes down, we are all as exposed as ground nesting birds on a wide shingle beach. It’s very easy to take the technical support for granted. They have a role, like a lighting designer in a theatre, that you only notice it when something goes wrong. A play without light is not a play. An online community without its web connection is equally ineffective.

During the IT hiatus we had time away from screens. We watched the swifts swooping nearer and nearer to our kitchen window. They screeched across the blue sky morning at speeds too fast to capture easily with a camera phone!. We took a leisurely stroll to the monthly market. We chatted with neighbours and friends we met there in the warm sunshine. We came home along the busy beach. There was a lovely laidback vibe today. Everyone enjoying the sunshine. Social distancing still being sensibly observed. Who needs Portugal on a sunny Scottish seaside day like this?!
