Globe artichokes at our local market stall.

Today's shot is of my local market which is held every wednesday morning.
The big round artichokes are called "cimaroli" which means that they grow from the top of the plant.
Smaller ones grow out from the side of the plant and usually have a lot of hairy stuff at the center, consequently, the "cimarolii" are a lot more expensive.
Not many shoppers out today on account of the bad weather.
