My view....
while clearing the steps of grasses and weeds! We have left quite a lot of the garden to its own devices this year hence all the long grass in the photo! There is an inordinate amount of cow parsley which we didn't notice last year as Barry strimmed the whole area all season. I'm not sure what will happen when it goes to seed, maybe next year it will take over completely! The steps took quite a while to do and my leg was quite painful after, it really isn't getting any better. The rest of the day I just pottered and in between sat with an ice pack wrapped round it. Some days it's just so much worse than others I guess I should contact the doctor or the physio again, the online exercises have really made no difference. I'm not sure another phone appointment will help so have put off calling again. He did say it may take a couple of months so I did expect slow progress but not no progress! It's very annoying that just sitting and resting doesn't help, that's sometimes when there is the most pain, or I could just sit and enjoy the rest. Anyway that's too much complaining there are folk far worse off than me.
I've ordered another 10 large tubs for growing as I've used the first 20. Everything is growing so much better in them than the ground so I've decided that's the way forward for me and I can start to make use of my book Crops in Pots again. I wasn't expecting to use it here but just goes to show you never know and the reason I keep hold of things! I think an investment in large saucers to retain water is next on the list.
After unpicking the sweater I have now restarted, using smaller needles and knitting the larger size and my new row counter. So far I'm much happier with how it's looking.
Other good news my son, DIL and two littlest granddaughters are coming for a visit the second week of July, first time they've all been here since we moved in. I must get those bunk beds sorted!
