Summer!

It was like being on holiday abroad! Mike and I had breakfast and lunch outside today, it was one of those perfect days, you just wanted to be out, enjoying it. 

Before lunch Lottie and I had a super walk up through the fields and back along the cliff path. Saw this orchid, which has been identified for me as a Heath Spotted-Orchid. Looks slightly weird, probably because it's growing in a fertilised field as opposed to in heather acid grassland. 

The orchid in extras is the Common Spotted-Orchid. Lots of them just starting to come into flower. It really is a lovely time of the year.
