Avocet

Avocets have become very well known since the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds adopted its image as the Society logo.
Here is one at RSPB Leighton Moss reserve.

Our grandsons have been with us this weekend. I gave the 10 year old my iPad and the Apple pencil. The extra shows what he produced. It looked vaguely familiar to me but he tells me that younger generations who watch television would be able to tell me this character’s name.
Can someone enlighten me please?
