The Mayflies are out

Another trip down to the river to see what was about.  Strimmers, that's what.  Four guys were down clearing the growth from around the fishing spots which are dotted along the river's edge, so the noise was deafening.  Fortunately they'd nearly finished and eventually peace returned.

Lots of people around too, but not enough to stop me enjoying the wildlife.  I even photographed a cuckoo, although it was only a speck on the horizon.  Reed Warblers, Sedge Warblers (apparently) and a couple of Whitethroats.  No swans.
