Four Spotted Chaser

We went on a dragonfly hunt today not far from home. The weather turned out warm (17 Deg C) and sunny and we saw these four spotted chasers plus some damselflies and a blue and yellow dragonfly I couldn't identify. We also found a selection of butterflies including Small Pearl bordered fritillary, the first Marsh Fritillary of the year, some Green hairstreaks and many Small heaths. 
In the water were many tadpoles along with adult frogs and newts and quite a few very large leeches.
A lovely day and now roast chicken and a glass of wine before the working week starts again. I am really enjoying this long over due good weather.
