A brisk sail with chums

Our pals the Planner and the Doc are visiting from over the duck pond (England). The Ards Man suggested an afternoon out on the water and that turned out to be such a good idea!

I hadn’t realised that the P and D hadn’t been out in the boat before, even though we’ve had it for over 10 years now and they are two of our best pals! We reckoned that it was probably because they normally come over to NI for Christmas so we usually see them in the winter. Whatever the reason, it was remedied today.

I took quite a few photos with my camera which I really liked, but this one (taken by the Doc) is my favourite as we are all in it. They had a hilarious way of taking selfies by just putting a hand in front of the phone camera - it worked about one time in four!

It wasn’t terribly windy and we had a sedate sail out to Grey Point. The wind picked up a little bit for our return journey, with lots
of tacking - the Ards Man’s favourite!

So a good afternoon on the water.
