Potentilla.

Another blip taken on the walk between the Lodge and the "bins".  Most of my Saturday blips are.   The neighbours Potentilla is coming nicely into flower.

Potentilla are,hardly surprisingly , a part of a group often referred to as cinquefoils.   More surprisingly they are members of the Rosaceae, as are many plants you wouldn't expect.  Other closely related plants are Alchemilla (Lady's Mantle) and Strawberries.
