Paddlers.

We’d unexpected visitors this afternoon!
Our older son and fiancé decided to come for a picnic at the beach and we agreed to meet them on the afterwards - and as it was a warm day a family paddle was in order. Simple things mean a lot; and the last period of time has shown that more than ever.

It was a nicer day than we were on the beach with him on 31May, (journal entry). The slightly strange photo is a time delay one; my wife’s shoe was the camera rest!

They came back for coffee outside.

Spoke to our younger son this evening - he told us of his trip to the Royal Mile in Edinburgh yesterday. It was a nice change even with the restrictions in place, 440 days now.
