Blob Blur
That's what Kathleen Clemons, the wonderful flower photographer, would say is the problem with this image and she would be right.
She also says that when you capture an insect on the flower, the image is no longer about the flower. If I had moved a little to my left, I could have eliminated the blob blur in front of the bee, but then I wouldn't have captured the bee in profile. For me, it was definitely all about the bee.
