Seven Hills of Edinburgh
One of the girls in the running club is running this event in 3 weeks...
Another of the girls has run it before and familiar with the best route and offered a social recce for anyone that wanted to join in!
How could I refuse!!!
The Seven Hills of Edinburgh
— a combination of road-running, cross-country, hill-running, and urban orienteering... 14.3 miles in length and with 2200 feet of ascent/descent.
Calton Hill is the Start and Finish point. Competitors have to find their own route, as the course is not marked, but they must pass through the 6 checkpoints in the following order (and punch their race-number there with clippers):-
The Castle (esplanade)
Corstorphine Hill
Craiglockhart Hill (East)
Braid Hill
Blackford Hill
Arthur's Seat
And finish on Calton Hill
Great company, great weather and great route!
