Maybe it was . . .

It could have been the fact that it was a place halfway between Cumbria and Kent; it could have been that it was a bargain Premier Inn offer . . . or it could have been the thought of the pies (see extra). Whatever it was, we seem to have arrived in Melton Mowbray and pies have been bought.

I was more taken with the beautiful cinema we passed as we wandered the town centre. The Regal Cinema was built in Art Deco style in 1934 by a local builder. It has been recently refurbished and reopened . . . well maybe not until next month.
